Refund Policy

Last updated: 5 September 2026

Changed your mind? Ask within 14 days of your first payment and we'll refund it in full, no questions asked.

The annual plan starts with a 7-day free trial. Cancel before the trial ends and you are never charged at all, so there is nothing to refund — it costs you nothing to try Plus for a week and walk away.

The weekly plan has no trial: it starts and is billed straight away. That first £1.99 is covered by the 14-day promise above, and after that cancelling before the week rolls over means you are never billed again.

Your first payment

If you do get charged and decide Plus isn't for you, email us within 14 days of that first payment and we'll refund it in full. We won't ask why, and we won't ask whether you played in the meantime — you keep the right to a refund even if you used it.

That is deliberately more generous than the law requires. Under UK and EU consumer law your statutory right to withdraw within 14 days normally lapses once you start using digital content with your consent. We've chosen not to hold you to that, because a refund policy with a trapdoor in it isn't worth having.

Renewals

Subscriptions renew automatically until you cancel, and cancelling always stops the next payment.

Beyond those windows we can still issue a refund, and often will. If something went wrong — a duplicate charge, a subscription you didn't mean to start, a renewal you'd asked to cancel — tell us and we'll sort it out.

How to ask

Email hello@modern-labs.co.uk from the address on your account, or contact Paddle support directly with your receipt. Either route works. Refunds go back to the original payment method and usually appear within 5–10 working days, depending on your bank.

Who processes the payment

Paddle.com Market Ltd is our merchant of record for purchases made on this website: Paddle sells you the subscription, takes the payment, handles tax, issues your receipt and processes refunds on our instruction. Their charge appears on your statement, which is why it may read as Paddle rather than Zip Blitz. Paddle's own refund policy also applies.

If you subscribed in the iOS app

Purchases made inside the app are sold by Apple, not by us, and we can't refund them — Apple doesn't give developers that ability. Request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com, where Apple decides case by case. If you have trouble, email us anyway and we'll help however we can.

Cancelling

Cancelling and refunding are different things — you can cancel at any point, with or without asking for a refund. On the web: Profile → Manage subscription. In the iOS app, if you subscribed through the App Store: iOS Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions. You keep Plus until the end of the period you've already paid for.
